My Brother’s in Christ:

As your Yellowstone United Methodist Men’s President it is with great honor that I announce the chartering of the newest Men’s Fellowship in the Yellowstone Conference.

The men of the Pavillion, Wyoming United Methodist Church were presented with their UMMen Charter on Sunday June 20th 2009 during the morning worship service. On Saturday morning June 19th, I attended their fellowship meeting and installed their officers; as well as initiating all the men present into the ‘Fellowship of the Red Bandanna.’

The Officers of this newest chartered unit are; Bill Runner, President, Matt Pattison, Vice-President, Colby Gillespie, Secretary, and Rod Paulson, Treasurer. These men, along with Pastor Cleveland McSwain have been meeting as a group for some time now and after doing some research on the advantages of becoming chartered had decided to do so.

As a side note but a high point for this church; their pastor, Rev. Cleveland McSwain was the recipient of the Harry Denman Evangelism Award at the Yellowstone Annual Conference. This award, which began in 1981 honors a United Methodist clergy and layperson in each annual conference who exhibit unusual and outstanding efforts for their work on Christian Evangelism. This prestigious award helps draw attention to evangelism in the conferences by honoring persons who are reaching others effectively for Christ. The YAC UMMen offers heartfelt congratulations to Rev. McSwain.

Your Brother in Christ:

Howard G. Guetherman

YAC UMMen President
